The vast cast of diverse characters includes the hypocrite Mr. Pecksniff, the undertaker Mr. Mould, the jolly Mark Tapley, the gentle Tom Pinch, the nurse who enjoys her bottled comforts, Mrs. Gamp, and the lovely Mary Graham, over whom the disagreements of the young and old Martin Chuzzlewits cause the younger to go to America to seek his fortune. This is another of your outstanding readings. Thank you for making it... I'm just finishing Martin Chuzzlewit. I have enjoyed it enormously. It's Dickens at his funniest and you do a marvelous job of rendering his characters. Your portrayal of the impossible Mrs. Gamp is especially amazing, although Pecksniff follows a close second. You get his pomposity and pretense just right.
